Gateways Overview
CESG gateways are kinetic-powered, fueled portal rings that teleport entities between bound cores, same dimension or across dimensions.
Components
Section titled “Components”| Block / Item | Role |
|---|---|
| Cross-Dimensional Gateway Core | Controller, fuel tank, binding target |
| Gateway Frame | Vertical ring around the core |
| Gateway Port | Item/fluid transfer to the bound partner |
| Fabricated End Gateway | End-only return to the central island |
| Gateway Binding Crystal | Imprint and bind two cores |
| Emergency Eye Charge | Consumable escape to the End island |
cesg:gateway_portal is a technical fill block placed by the core: not craftable.
Quick setup
Section titled “Quick setup”- Build a complete vertical Gateway Frame rectangle (corners included) with the Core as one of its blocks.
- Connect a spinning shaft for kinetic power.
- Pump or bucket in fuel (see below).
- Bind two cores with a Binding Crystal.
- Walk through the portal when goggles show the gateway is ready.
| Link type | Fuel | How to make |
|---|---|---|
| Same dimension | Teleport Essence | Liquid Ender Pearl + Chorus Fruit (heated basin or Ender Infuser) |
| Cross dimension | Liquid Eye of Ender | Teleport Essence + Blaze Powder |
Default travel cost: 250 mB per entity (server-configurable). Fuel can be pumped into any frame block; conduits show flow, and the core porthole shows the tank.
Empty buckets drain a full bucket (1000 mB) back out: essence first, then eye.
Status & safety
Section titled “Status & safety”- Partner must be powered and fueled for normal travel; otherwise you may get an emergency route to the End central island.
- Warp Resistance blocks gateway teleports (Nether/End portals still work).
- Optional Load Destination toggle keeps both gateway chunks loaded for Gateway Port transfers (can be disabled in server config).
